Call for Papers
International Congress on Medieval Studies
Western Michigan University, May 2003

TEAMS is seeking paper proposals for a handful of TEAMS-sponsored sessions at the next International Congress on Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Proposals should be approximately 250 words and include the following information: title, presenter’s name, address, and affiliation. You may send them to Bruce Brasington, whose coordinates can be found on the website listed below. All papers will be 20 minutes. The due date for proposals is September 15, but TEAMS would prefer to receive them earlier rather than later.

Please visit the Congress website for all details related to the Congress. You can access the TEAMS sessions at

www.wmich.edu/~medinst/congress/38cfp/sponsindex.htm.

If there is a problem with this link, simply go to www.wmich.edu/medieval and click on
the Congress Call for Papers, then click on “sponsored sessions,” under which you will find TEAMS sessions. The sessions are:

I. Workshop on Manuscript Illumination
II. Literature as Performance
III. Medieval Drama and the Text
IV. Teaching Music: Dante and Machaut
V. Establishing a K-12 Commentary Series
VI. “Fighting City Hall”: Promoting Medieval Studies to School Boards

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact Bruce Brasington at bbrasington@mail.wtamu.edu or Kevin Ruth at kruth@towerhill.org. TEAMS
encourages K-12 educators to propose papers, especially for sessions five and six and above.
